Safety controls that sit on the same screen as the conversation

TrueVibe is adults-only at sign-up, blocks are instant and mutual, contact details are masked automatically in call chat, and reports are read by people rather than only by filters. Every control you might need in a bad moment — mute, camera off, skip, leave, block, report — is on the screen you are already looking at.

What does mutual blocking mean?

When you block someone, you disappear from each other's discover results, matching queue, rooms and messages at the same moment. There is no one-sided block that leaves you visible to the person you are avoiding.

The principles behind the controls

  • Consent before content: nobody has to explain why they are leaving a conversation.
  • Least data possible: we ask for what matching needs and nothing more.
  • Control in reach: mute, skip, block and report belong on the conversation screen.
  • Human review: serious reports are read by people, not only by automated filters.
  • Honest labelling: previews and planned features are marked as such, everywhere.

What moderators can see — and what they cannot

Moderators work from a dedicated dashboard with reports, member records, content and an audit log of every action taken. Access is role-based and every decision is recorded against the person who made it.

  • Reports include the context needed to judge them
  • Every moderation action is written to an immutable audit trail
  • Private albums and direct messages are not browsable by staff for curiosity
  • Role changes are themselves logged

What you can do yourself

  • Block instantly, from a profile, a call or a message thread
  • Report with a category and a description
  • Revoke album access you granted earlier
  • Delete your photos, albums or your whole account

If something goes wrong in a call

  1. Leave first

Skip or end the call. You do not owe anyone a conversation or an explanation.

  2. Block

One tap removes you from each other's results everywhere on TrueVibe.

  3. Report

Pick a category and describe what happened. The session context comes with it.

  4. Get support if you need it

Crisis and community resources are linked from the safety centre.

Who this is for

This is for you if

  • You have been harassed on general-purpose chat sites and want moderation that understands anti-LGBTQ+ abuse.
  • You want blocking to be instant and mutual, not a support ticket.

This is not for you if

  • You want an unmoderated space with no rules.
